Beschreibung
Garmin 013-00112-00 is the two-way BNC NAV antenna splitter specified in the GTN Xi and GTN 6XX/7XX installation manuals. Garmin identifies it as the Mini-Circuits ZFSC-2-1B+, which Mini-Circuits rates as a bracketed two-way 50 Ω power splitter for 5–500 MHz with BNC connectors. In Garmin’s antenna interconnect diagrams it shares one VOR/LOC/GS antenna between the NAV input of a GTN 650Xi or 750Xi and a second VHF NAV receiver; with separate VOR/LOC and glideslope antennas it works together with a Comant CI-507 diplexer.
Whether a splitter is needed depends on the installation. Garmin specifies mounting on a flat surface in the fuselage, away from excessive vibration and as close to the GTN as practical to keep the coaxial cable short, with four #4-40 fasteners torqued to 5–6 in-lbf. Installation in a certified aircraft needs approved data for the type and a Certificate of Release to Service. Fit depends on the NAV receiver models and the antenna configuration.
