The Soul of a Tree: A Woodworker’s Reflections. Author, George Nakashima
A beautiful book by a man who felt that the highest purpose of working in wood is to make it live again, to „create an object of utility to man, and, if nature smiles, an object of lasting beauty“. Over 100 pages of photos make it clear he was a master and the text movingly shares his humility and respect for the grandeur of the material he worked with.
