Beschreibung
RAMI AV-590 is an electronic switch that lets two COM radios share one COM antenna, for 12–15 V DC aircraft systems. In receive mode it splits the antenna signal so both radios receive across 118–137 MHz; when the COM selected on the audio panel transmits, the control signal switches that radio to the antenna and isolates the other, then the unit returns to receive mode. Transmit insertion loss is below 0.3 dB, isolation above 30 dB, VSWR 1.2:1 maximum and RF power capacity 25 W.
The switch mounts behind the panel on four holes and has three BNC female ports (antenna, COM 1, COM 2) and a 36 in four-conductor cable: white and green to the audio panel transmit-control outputs for COM 1 and COM 2, red to the 12–15 V bus (60 mA maximum) and black to ground. It must be used with an audio panel. RAMI offers the AV-590(-28) for 20–30 V systems. Fit depends on the audio panel model and the aircraft bus voltage.
