Beschreibung
Comant CI 118-10 is a 75 MHz marker beacon antenna with a 4-hole through-mount base; apart from the mounting it is identical to the CI 118. The low-profile blade has a moulded radome with a white polyurethane finish, is 2.90 in (74 mm) high, weighs 0.8 lb (0.36 kg) and has a female BNC connector.
The antenna is receive-only and DC grounded, with 50 Ω impedance, VSWR of 1.7:1 maximum, polarization parallel to the mounting surface and a primarily downward radiation pattern. It is approved to FAA TSO-C35d Class A, tested to RTCA DO-160D and resists Skydrol and rain erosion. It is rated to 45,000 ft, −55 to +85 °C and 400 kt TAS at 25,000 ft.
Installation on a certified aircraft needs an approved modification and a Certificate of Release to Service. Fit depends on the aircraft type and the installed marker beacon antenna.
