Beschreibung
Comant CI 120-4 is a two-input, two-output power combiner for 108–118 MHz and 329–335 MHz that combines the signals of two VOR/LOC/GS antenna elements into two separate coaxial runs for the NAV 1 and NAV 2 receivers. It is standard equipment with the Comant CI 120-200 G/S antenna set and is mounted inside the aircraft.
The combiner has a 6 dB power split, 1.5 dB maximum insertion loss, 20 dB minimum isolation, ±0.5 dB amplitude balance and 180° ±5° phase between the antenna ports, with 50 Ω impedance and 1.5:1 maximum VSWR. The die-cast aluminium housing is 0.90 in (23 mm) high and has BNC female connectors. Installation on a certified aircraft needs an approved modification and a Certificate of Release to Service. Fit depends on the aircraft type and the installed NAV antenna.
