Garmin GA 37 (013-00245-00) is a combined GPS/WAAS and SiriusXM antenna for Garmin WAAS panel-mount GPS systems that use an antenna with the ARINC 743 footprint. It weighs 0.23 kg and mounts through the fuselage skin with four screws. The receiving equipment powers the antenna preamplifier over the coax cable.
The antenna goes on top of the fuselage with a clear view of the sky, at least 1.25 in from other receive-only antennas, 5 in from VHF COM transmitting antennas and 12 in from transponder, DME, TCAS or UAT antennas. It seals with an O-ring and is secured with the supplied MS24694-C 10-32 stainless screws at 20–25 in-lb; washers, locknuts and any doubler are not included. Installation follows the aircraft type certificate or an approved modification and ends with a Certificate of Release to Service. Fit depends on the aircraft type and the GPS receiver it serves.
