Sensor Systems S67-1575-96 is a dual-band active GPS antenna for the L1 (1575.42 MHz) and L2 (1227.6 MHz) frequencies. The low-noise amplifier under the radome has a gain of 40 ± 4 dB and is powered through the coax with 4–24 V DC at a maximum of 75 mA. Polarization is right-hand circular, impedance 50 Ω and VSWR ≤ 2.0:1.
Additional filtering rejects out-of-band signals and reduces the risk of amplifier saturation by non-GPS transmitters. The antenna is 89 mm in diameter and 18 mm high, weighs 198 g and is made of 6061-T6 aluminium alloy and thermoset plastic with a Skydrol-resistant finish. The RF connector is a TNC female. The operating range is −62 to +95 °C and up to 70,000 ft.
Sensor Systems lists FAA TSO-C129, DO-160C, MIL-E-5400 and MIL-STD-810. Installation on a certified aircraft needs an approved modification and a Certificate of Release to Service. Fit depends on the GPS receiver model and the aircraft type.
