Garmin 117-00254-00 is the 10 in antenna of the GWX 70 weather radar. Garmin lists it in the 10 in configurations of the GWX 70, the GWX 70R (reduced scan) and the GWX 70H (helicopter), with or without installation kit. The antenna weighs 0.7 lb (0.32 kg). With the 10 in antenna, the GWX 70 has a 9.0° beam width, a 217 dB performance index and a weather avoidance range of up to 263 nm. Garmin also lists it in the 10 in configurations of the GWX Processor (GWX 75, 010-01589) and its H and R versions.
The GWX 70 is set to the antenna size in software configuration or through the antenna-select inputs on connector P751; with those inputs wired, the software setting is not accepted. The mounting hardware for the 10 in and 12 in antennas is installation kit 011-01769-00, a separate part. The GWX 70 system with its antenna holds FAA TSO-C63d Class C. Fit depends on the radar model (GWX 70, GWX 70R or GWX 70H) and its serial number.
